Yá'át'ééh, I'm Teya Small. I am a Navajo/Hopi "artist" in Farmington, NM; originally from Shiprock, NM.
Beading for me is something that grounds me to my culture and is also therapeutic for my mental well-being. I have the utmost respect for my heritage as well as the teachings that beading has to offer spiritually. I have been beading on and off for almost 5 years, shitsili' (my little brother) taught me this beautiful trade and I will forever be grateful to him.
